I wrote and recorded the initial tracks on my iPhone on a tour bus while I was out on tour with Rancid and Dropkick Murphys in the Summer of 2017. My goal was to write at least one song for each city we played in. This song was written in San Diego, hence the Battalion Of Saints reference. Also, the 'sitting on a cushy chair in center field' line references the fact that my backstage room was actually a fancy luxury suite behind centerfield of the stadium where the Padres play.
