I bet you didn't know that I was once the singer in the legendary American hardcore band Aim Higher. We were pretty big in the underground music scene and played with everybody from Integrity and Government Issue to Comeback Kid and The Big Boys.

OK, OK. That's all bullshit. In actuality, when I was doing my '400 Songs' project on 2015, I stumbled on writing and recording a couple of fast, old school hardcore style songs and thought it would be fun to give it a name (Aim Higher) and a bogus history. A few good-humored friends went along with it and the rest WASN'T history.

through all the darkness, doubt and misery
so many people looked at me and laugh
they never were the greatest company
i never wanted many shiny things
or money i would squelch and throw away
no need to try and fucking own someone
to make myself feel free

the little things i barely ever see

nobody else can bring you happiness
at least the kind that ever lasts too long
no one can make you be a better friend
from lyrics they put in a punk rock song
i keep it simple, doesn’t make me dumb
i know my limits when it comes to life
treat people as i’d like them to treat me
find ways to an end the strife
