Another tune I sorta forgot about. My old pal Colby (from the great band Knapsack) recently mentioned that he really liked this song and when he mentioned the title, I seriously drew a blank and had to look it up and asked him how he stumbled onto it since it was yet another of my hundreds and hundreds of songs with little to zero distribution.

This was written and recorded in early 2019 during a strange month for me, mental health-wise. I started using a guitar tuning I learned on YouTube and wrote a handful of songs in that tuning, this one being one of them. Nevertheless, things got a little weird :)

I'm still not sure what was up with me but man, what that a doozy of a motherfucking month that January was!

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
